China Pledges Continuous Support To Liberia’s Development

Chinse-Dinner Chinese and Liberian Delegation During Dinner

Monrovia, Liberia - The people of China have pledged their continuous support toward the manpower development of Liberian Citizens and more infrastructure developments across Liberia.

Speaking Monday evening during a farewell dinner held in honor of the 25 NaFAA Staffs expected to depart Liberia for China, the Counselor at the Chinese Embassy Economic office disclosed that his government is planning several new infrastructure projects for Liberia.

Li Jiang assured that those future projects will improve the economic developments in Liberia.
Commenting on the already existing long standing bilateral relationship between China and Liberia Jiang recalled that over the years the fisheries sector has benefited immensely from the capacity building programs in China.
Mr. Jiang mentioned that between 2006 and present approximately 25 personnel from the then Bureau of National Fisheries have benefited from short to medium terms training programs in fisheries and aquaculture management in China.
Mr. Jiang challenged the departing NaFAA Staff to fully utilize the opportunity to help transform the Liberian fisheries sector for the benefit of the entire country and its citizens.
For his part, the spokesman for the NaFAA delegation commended the Chinese government for the prestigious opportunity afforded them to help transform the Liberian fisheries sector.
The procurement Assistant at the National fisheries and Aquaculture Authority Yenego Zubah said the Chinese government has over the years been a true partner to Liberia’s transformation.
He said the role of the Chinese people in Liberia has been geared toward revitalizing and strengthening the Liberian economy through capacity building initiatives.
Speaking earlier, the Deputy Director for Technical Services at the National fisheries and Aquaculture commended the Chinese government for making Liberia’s fisheries development a top priority.

 

Mr. William Boeh noted that the people of Liberia are proud of the already existing bilateral partnership which is immensely impacting the economy.
