Liberia’s Fisheries DG Addresses issues on Global Fisheries Crime for the Parties to the Copenhagen Declaration, UN City.

Monrovia-The Director General of the National Fisheries and Aquaculture Authority, (NaFAA) Hon. Emma Metieh Glassco is expected to represent Liberia in Europe at the two days Blue Justice Conference 2023 which will take place at the UN City, Copenhagen, Denmark.

The Blue Ocean Justice Conference 2023 which runs from the 23-24 March, will be held under the theme “Working together against fisheries crime using digital innovation”

 

The Conference will bring together World Fisheries Ministers and Directors for discussions on how to mitigate fisheries crimes across the World.

According to a NaFAA press release, Madam Glassco has been invited to address the High-Level event for the parties to the Copenhagen Declaration on 23 March in Denmark.

Moreover, the Organizers of the Blue Ocean Justice Conference 2023, have disclosed that Madam Glassco will share her experiences and insights on the global, regional and national challenges of fisheries crimes and state- how strengthened inter-agency cooperation and international cooperation have helped to address these challenges.

Meanwhile, the Blue Justice conference continues on 24 March 2023 with a full day activity involving operational officers and policy makers who worked with the prevention and law enforcement of fisheries crime.
