PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT ON COLLECTION OF LICENSE FEES -2ND PHASE

This is to inform fishermen across fishing communities in the nine coastal counties of Liberia that the National Fisheries and Aquaculture Authority, (NaFAA) will begin the second phase of fishing license fees collection on July 1, 2023.

As a result of the importance attached to the fishing license fees collection NaFAA is therefore calling on all Kru and Fanti Fishing Chiefs to begin mobilizing their fishermen to ensure full compliance upon the arrival of the enforcement teams.

At the same time, NaFAA is also calling on authorities of the Collaborative Management Association (CMA) and the Liberia Artisanal Fishermen Association, (LAFA) to encourage all fishermen to corporate with the compliance and enforcement teams upon their arrival as it relates to the payment of their final 2023 fishing license.

The Compliance team will include members of the Liberia Artisanal Fishermen Association (LAFA) and the Core Management Association (CMAs) in all coastal counties.

Meanwhile, the second phase of the license fees collection will last for a period of one month from July 1-31, 2023.
