The Strategic Priorities Of The Department Are

1. Tailor the use of appropriate methods and channels (e.g. events, radio, print media, Facebook, publications, etc) for different audiences
2. Promote awareness of NaFAA policies and activities by fishing communities, private sector fishing companies in the catching, cold storage and trading sub-sectors, other government agencies, and the wider public.
3. Ensure equal awareness of NaFAA policies and activities across the whole country and in all fishing communities.
4. Enhance awareness about the contents of the Liberia Fisheries and Aquaculture Management and Development Act (2019) and subsidiary regulations (2020) in support of increased levels of compliance.
5. Communicate the potential for investments in the fisheries sector by domestic and overseas investors.
6. Increase awareness in all stakeholder groups of the importance of inland fisheries.
