NaFAA Staffs Complete Training In Fisheries Information Management System
Ahead of the grand launch of NaFAA Core System application process, NaFAA Staffs received certificates following three days training in fisheries information management system, facilitated by MWETANA Consultant and Technology Group.
The Core System simplifies the application process for fishing licenses, permits, and authorizations, reducing paperwork and manual tasks. When officially launched, fishermen across Liberia will conveniently apply for these permits from any location with internet access, saving time and resources for both applicants and governmental agencies. The Core system is being financed by the World Bank under the Liberia Sustainable Management of Fisheries Project (LSMFP).
Therefore, by automating data entry and validation, the NaFAA Core System minimizes errors associated with manual processing. This will enable licenses and permits to be issued with precise information, reducing discrepancies and administrative burdens.
Through built-in compliance checks, the NaFAA Core System will verify applicants’ adherence to regulatory requirements before issuing licenses or permits. This proactive approach will strengthen the enforcement of fishing regulations, mitigating illegal fishing practices, and promoting sustainable fisheries management.
