ANNOUNCEMENT
The Management of the National Fisheries and Aquaculture Authority, (NaFAA) has announced an immediate stop to all fishermen who have not paid for their 2024 fishing license, since February 20, 2024 to March 30, 2024.
NaFAA Management has observed over the last one- month two weeks since it was announced that fishermen can fishing and pay their fishing license fees; most of them have fished and refused to pay their 2024 license fees.
Therefore, as a result of the importance attached to the collection of the 2024 license fees, NaFAA is ordering the Compliance and enforcement team already deployed in the nine coastal counties to begin seizing the canoes and all fishing implements of those fishermen who have over the last one month two weeks refused to pay their fishing license fees.
Only fishermen who have paid their 2024 fishing license fees will be allowed to fishing across the nine coastal counties.
